The thirty-third annual MaxCourage Essay Contest is a national and international contest that encourages students from diverse backgrounds to use their writers’ voices and share personal narratives about exceptional acts of courage in their communities and in their lives. Winning essays will be published in the annual publication, The Courage of Children: Boston and BeyondAdditionally, one student each year is honored as the National Contest Winner! MaxCourage empowers students to discover the value of courage and to develop English Language Arts (ELA) proficiency. To learn more about MaxCourage's mission, read here

To register as a judge for this project, VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER ON THE MAXCOURAGE PORTAL BY FRIDAY, JANUARY 19th. Please register here: Essay Judging Day - MAXCourage; be sure to confirm the judging session you will be attending. Kindly enter "Andover Group" in the comments section of the form under Additional Information on the MaxCourage portal.

Once you have registered both below and on the MaxCourage Portal, your registration will be complete. MaxCourage will provide a Judges Guide in their confirmation email.
